Automotive Mechanic

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of maintenance, service, and repair tasks on a variety of light vehicles. Qualification & Experience Trade Qualification: Hold a relevant Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Automotive Mechanical Technology (Light Vehicle) or equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, with experience in diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models. Driver's License: Possess a current and valid Manual Driver's License. Technical Skills: Proven ability to perform a wide range of mechanical repairs, including but not limited to engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems. Diagnostic Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic scan tools and equipment to identify and rectify vehicle faults. Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, reliable, and committed to performing high-quality work. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Task & Responsibilities Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of light vehicles efficiently and to a high standard. Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge. Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs. Maintain a thorough understanding of vehicle systems, components, and the latest automotive technologies. Adhere to all workshop procedures, safety regulations, and franchise guidelines. Manage workload effectively and complete tasks within allocated timeframes. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and service advisors. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Log booking servicing Repairs and troubleshooting (In accordance with Manufacture requirements) Used car reconditioning. Ongoing training
